Types of Diets

There is a lot of buzz about different types of cancer diets. Across the Internet, books, magazines, television, radio, and other media, heath claims about cancer diets can feel overwhelming. We provide some basic information about types of diets and cancer fighting foods. Recognize that some people with cancer choose one type of diet, and others blend a number of healing diets to find the combination that works for them. As with exploring other types of cancer treatments, healing diets are usually more complex than one stop shopping.

The first step is to explore cancer fighting foods to eat and specifc foods and ingredients to avoid. Then as you continue educating yourself about cancer diets and dietary philosophies, focus on identifying a person-centered healing diet tailored to you as an individual and designed for your unique constitution. Combine wisdom from a range of dietary experts in cancer and tune into what your body needs. Healing diets for cancer prevention, cancer treatments, and cancer recovery vary for each person. The type and stage of the disease, cancer treatments, age, overall performance, lifestyle preferences, and other factors influence each person's food and nutritional plan. For cancer patients receiving therapies such as radiation and chemotherapy, proper nutrition can also increase the efficacy and diminish the toxicity of conventional cancer treatments.

Remember that healing diets emphasize cancer fighting foods and other wellness promoting nutrition for optimal health and vitality. Some foods have direct cancer fighting activity and all foods impact the entire internal environment or terrain of your body. Food choices are constantly defining your health, including body, mind, and spirit. Decide what foods you put in your mouth with cancer fighting foods and create a sustainable, healing diet that works for you.
